Values
Ethics, responsibility, and sustainability (ERS) play an important role in the operation of the Faculty, as respect for individual and collective performance is a fundamental value on which the Faculty relies. These principles are particularly important in the Faculty's quality policy introduced and adopted in 2018. As an important milestone in strengthening the presence of ERS in all our activities, in 2021, the Faculty established the Sustainability Centre within the Centre for Applied Learning (CAL) to gather, connect, and facilitate all co-curricular and extracurricular activities with an ERS perspective, preferably with external stakeholders, including cooperation with civil society, local governments, and the business sector, while also strengthening the presence of ERS in experiential education through projects and WoP presentations.
The head of the Sustainability Centre works closely with the management of CAL and the Faculty. The activities of the Sustainability Centre are gradually expanding, as the overview of ERS aspects in different areas and their integration and coordination takes time and requires the cooperation of other stakeholders.
The Faculty is not only deeply committed to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), which are an integral part of research, the curriculum, and the involvement of students and stakeholders, but it also actively participates in regional specialities (CEE chapter) in its development. Our commitment is demonstrated by the fact that at the PRME CEE Chapter Meeting & Workshop held in April 2024, in addition to the two days of joint work, Petra Putzer, head of our Faculty's Sustainability Centre, was elected to the position of PRME CEE Chapter Leadership Steering Committee Member, Head of Faculty Development Programs. In this way, our Faculty not only participates in the PRME report, but takes an active role in the development of regional aspirations.
