Microcredit - Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE MICROCREDITS?

Microcredits are credits that can be earned outside the compulsory curriculum. In Neptun, you do not have to register to any subject to take part in microcredit activites.

WHY SHOULD I EARN MICROCREDITS?

By earning microcredits, students can expand their practical knowledge during their university studies. The microcredits earned will also appear on the student's Openup profile, making them visible to our registered corporate partners and functioning as a " professional CV". It also helps you to earn the 30 credits required to be awarded with the Alma Mater Study Scholarship.

WHEN ARE MICROCREDITS RECORDED?

The microcredits earned are kept by CAL throughout the semester and then added up at the end of the semester. The microcredits earned are then recorded in the Neptun LMS. Every 100 microcredits is equal with 1 normal credit.

CAN I GET MICROCREDITS FOR A WOP EVENT EMBEDDED IN A COURSE I HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED FOR?

No, students can only receive microcredits for attending WoP events and lectures that are not organised as part of a course they are registered for.
